Best Funny Alcohol Memes

A meme is typically a picture or a video that uses a great deal of humor and usually carries symbolic meaning to represent a particular phenomenon or theme. The original “meme” was a term introduced by the evolutionary biologist, Richard Dawkin, in 1976 in his work The Selfish Gene. The word derives from the Greek mimema which means “imitated”. Memes spread fast via social media platforms and engage many people with their clever and funny practices. Here, we will present you the funniest memes considering alcohol and its consumption. Are you ready?

Recently there was a ban on alcohol introduced by FIFA at Qatar World Cup stadiums.  The solution:

Isn’t that creative?

People can think of anything as long as they have their way. Here, we clearly see that “where there is a will, there is a way”.

Meanwhile, many countries ban alcohol altogether. To name a few, Yemen, Bangladesh, Brunei, India (in certain states), Iran, Kuwait, Libya, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, and shockingly enough Maldives. Of course, you have noticed that in most of the countries where alcohol is banned it is because it is against the principles of Islam. In Saudi Arabia, as in most of the counties mentioned, alcohol consumption is allowed for non-Muslims but only within their private residences or the hotels and bars they visit. In the Maldives, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean and a popular tourist destination, well known for its world-class beaches and exotic resorts, alcohol is banned for the local population as well. Only the resorts and some hotels and restaurants with special permits are allowed to sell alcohol to visitors.

Somehow, football is associated with alcohol. Football fans have a reputation for heavy drinking (for example the Scots, the Irish, and the Danes). Many football fans enjoy the game while drinking. Or drinking and watching football. Not sure which is the correct way to put it. Well, many but Homer!!

People love animals. All it takes is the perfect shot and the right funny caption to bring some human characteristics to an animal. There are multiple reasons for doing that. We picked up two. Firstly, making fun of the animal’s natural appearance or behavior by exaggerating it. After all, this is what humor is about. Secondly, putting the animal in a human scenario the animal has to use its animal brain and instincts to try to behave like a human, which is also fun. That explains the fact that there are plenty of memes with animals.

Here is our favorite:

What happens when we get “drunk” is that in the beginning and when the alcohol’s concentration increases in our bloodstream, we start to “feel good”. We might feel happy, more social and confident, and less inhibited. This is because alcohol stimulates the release of dopamine and serotonin, which are rightfully referred to as “feel-good” hormones. If we continue to drink more, though, we’ll start to experience more physical symptoms. This happens because alcohol depresses our central nervous system and interferes with our brain’s communication pathways, which affects how our brain processes information.

Clearly, humor is important. Sometimes, humor can be controversial. If it is used in an appropriate manner, it elevates your audience. Used poorly, it becomes a burden. The reason for that is that humor is subjective, there’s a large risk that our audience can get offended by our humor. Funnily enough, there are some similarities with alcohol when it comes to laughing. Firstly, our face distorts and we become impervious to embarrassment. This physical response also happens when drinking. In this category falls the toilet aspect. When drinking we want to go to the toilet, something that can happen when we are laughing excessively. Secondly, we lose control of our bodies. No need to explain further this point. Thirdly, and most important is that, in both cases, whether we laugh or drink, we get an endorphine boost. The physical act of laughing releases endorphins in the brain, the same as when we drink, causing a feeling of happiness. Laughter can be addictive, but there’s no reason to stop. Drinking, on the other hand, and that is the main difference, can be addictive, so please when you notice stop!

Hope you enjoyed it and had a laugh!!
